Marcia's Poem of the week  “IDENTITY”  Luke 9: 1-9 NLT “9 One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. 2 Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 3 “Take nothing for your journey,” he instructed them. “Don’t take a walking stick, a traveler’s bag, food, money, or even a change of clothes.  4. Wherever you go, stay in the same house until you leave town. 5 And if a town refuses to welcome you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.” 6 So they began their circuit of the villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick.” IDENTITY The Lord calls you and I together, And gives us power only He can give, Needing us to love one another, And to show the lost how to live. He sends us to make things right, And to help heal those hurt and sick, And to not be hindered, but travel l

Marcia's Poem of the week 8/19/2022  DO A GOOD DEED  Titus 2:11-14 NLT 11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.  DO A GOOD DEED God's still small voice speaks for you, Should yours be seized by silence, God's word, like eyes sees for you, Should yours be skirted by blindness. God's word like legs will walk for you, Whenever yours grow weak, God's word like hands will up-lift you, Making His power in you complete. God's word will give you new energy, Strengthening your growth day

Thursday morning on August 11, 2022 at the park my friend and I met a homeless woman who was trying to get help from various organizations. She is devastated and having difficulty finding help. Her family is unable to help her. Please pray for her and her family. Her name is Angelique. Marcia's Poem of the Week 8-12-2022 “And Why Worry” Matthew 6:28-33 NLT 28. “ And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29. yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? 31. “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33. Seek the Kingdom of God above

Marcia's Poems of the Week 8.5.2022  "Good Work" and "Equipped" (The photo attached is of my granddaughter Emily reading to my now 7 year old great granddaughter Arwyn).  2 Timothy 3:14-17 \  You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. And Titus 2:14, NLT: He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good work. GOOD WORK  2 Timothy 3:14-17 Take care to value God's message, It's more treasured than worldly wealth, It's more priz

M arcia's Poem of the week 7-29-2022 JESUS WALKS ON WATER Matthew 14: 22-33 Photo attached: I had this picture taken of a Hot Air Balloon Ride. I had a choice to go on the balloon ride or go back home. I'm not sure how Peter felt about stepping off the boat, but he too had a choice.. But, don't let this smile fool you, I was very tense about climbing into the balloon basket. An hour later when I climbed out of the basket, I was very relieved that we made it. Matthew 14:28-31 / 28 Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” 29 “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. 31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?” JESUS WALKS ON WATER Matthew 14: 22-33 Jesus can walk on wa
