Marcia's Poem of the Week for 10.29.2021 "FEAR NOT" Isaiah 43:1-2 - “But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.” 2: When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” ( New Living Translation ) FEAR NOT He has called you by name, Because you belong to Him. He created and formed you, And cleansed your heart of sin. He'll go with you through deep waters, And through the rivers too. He'll go with you through the fires, And they'll not sweep over you. He will keep you for Himself, Even from far away, And redeem you from evil, You will witness His way. He'll do this because He loves you, For He is the Ancient of Days. You need n

Marcia's Poem of the Week 10.22.2021 CHRIST'S TEACHING   2 Timothy 3: 16-17 16. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.      CHRIST'S TEACHING   Dear heir of salvation, Trust in God's holy word, The ministry of reparation, Seeks life in what is heard.   Be long-suffering for another, And patient with those around, And loving toward each other, For together we're heaven bound.   Let God's word equip you, For each good work that's done, He shows you what is true, So you'll know right from wrong.   Be faithful to His teaching, For the truth lies therein, And listen to His speaking, Wisdom comes from Him.   Press on in God's leading, Delight in being set apart, He'll k

Marcia's Poem of the Week 10-15-2021 “GOD'S CHOSEN”   2 Corinthians 6:1-2 : 1  As God's partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God's kindness and then ignore it.  2  For God says, "At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you." Indeed, the "right time" is now. Today is the day of salvation.”   “ GOD'S CHOSEN”   “ On the day of salvation, He helped you,” “ Indeed, the right time” is at hand, There is a Savior to turn to, Who holds the only redemption plan.   God chose and appointed you, To bear the fruits* that will last, Apply them to what you do, And move forward from the past.   Christ became sin for you, That reconciled you to Him, You have become righteous too, And totally clean of past sin.   God keeps you from the evil one, Safe even in the world of hate, For in this world, you're not alone, But positioned near heaven's gate.

Marcia's Poem of the Week  10.08.2021   "Believe"    My thoughts regarding John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. And regarding,  1 John 4:10, "And love consists in this:  not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins."   Life brings losses, disappointments and even things that scare us, torment us and worry us beyond our ability to understand or handle. But nothing can happen that the Lord can't handle and resolve. Believe and trust because the Lord loves you.   “ BELIEVE”    The world may take it all away, But the Lord will add and display, The walk of life does bring pain, But the Lord brings songs for us to sing, Our minds may fill with human care, But the Lord comes with love to share, Our heart may hurt with stabbing stings, But the Lord will cover it with His wings,

Marcia's Poem of the Week 10.01.2021   “ OBEDIENCE”   -   Reflection on 1 Samuel 28:5-7 & 11-18.  Saul's jealousy of David drove him to madness and a thirst for revenge. More than once, King Saul disobeyed God's instructions, thinking he knew better. 1 Samuel 28:5-7 & 11-18: 5 When Saul saw the vast Philistine army, he became frantic with fear. 6 He asked the Lord what he should do, but the Lord refused to answer him, either by dreams or by sacred lots or by the prophets. 7 Saul then said to his advisers, “Find a woman who is a medium, so I can go and ask her what to do.” His advisers replied, “There is a medium at Endor. “11 Finally, the woman said, “Well, whose spirit do you want me to call up?”  “ Call up Samuel,” Saul replied. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed, “You’ve deceived me! You are Saul!”13 “Don’t be afraid!” the king told her. “What do you see?” “ I see a god coming up out of the earth,” she said. 14 “What does he look like?” Saul asked
