Marcia's Poem of the week 7-29-2022
JESUS WALKS ON WATER Matthew 14: 22-33
Photo attached: I had this picture taken of a Hot Air Balloon Ride. I had a
choice to go on the balloon ride or go back home. I'm not sure how Peter felt
about stepping off the boat, but he too had a choice.. But, don't let
this smile fool you, I was very tense about climbing into the balloon basket.
An hour later when I climbed out of the basket, I was very relieved that we
made it.
Matthew 14:28-31 / 28 Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell
me to come to you, walking on the water.” 29 “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter
went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. 30 But
when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink.
“Save me, Lord!” he shouted. 31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him.
“You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”
JESUS WALKS ON WATER Matthew 14: 22-33
Jesus can walk on water,
Turn a storm into calm,
His love will never falter,
Love gives our soul a song.
He controls the weather,
And it's hard to believe it true,
Those of little faith totter,
When they doubt what He can do.
Fear is paralyzing but real,
Robbing us of our faith,
Cheating us of our holy zeal,
Causing our hearts to ache.
Look to Him as your source,
And believe that He loves you,
His word will set your course,
And He will guide you through.

COMFORT ZONE Matthew 14: 22-33
We have a comfort zone,
To which we often cling.
We set our goals on safety,
From what can be seen.
But Jesus calls us out,
From the safety-net we seek.
To take His Good News,
To the sinful and the weak.
We are called to uncertainty,
For God's plan and purpose.
But from now to eternity,
He will always rescue-us.
