Poem of the Week by Marcia Hebrews 13:20-21 6-25-21 “Making God Happy” Hebrews 13: 20-21. “Now may the God of Peace who brought again from the dead our lord Jesus the great Shepherd of the sheep by the blood of the eternal covenant equip you with everything good that you may do his will working in us that which is pleasing in his sight through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” “MAKING GOD HAPPY”    I hope to Make God Happy, With a faith strong and tough, I hope He is pleased as can be, And I hope I'm good enough.   For I want to be spirit minded, With the intake of His love, And I want to know His purpose, And conform to Him thereof,   So-be-it if I look a fool, Or guilty in others eyes, I hope to walk in His rule, And please Him who is wise.   Salvation is yours and mine, He equips with all that's good, And we will see in time, He'll finish what He said He would.   I hope to Make God Happy, By dancing as I sing, Like David did in his worship, To bri

Poem of the Week by Marcia  “DIVINE GUIDANCE” John 3:16   As a young child my grandmother watched me while my mom worked. With love she trained and nurtured me for living life.  Romans 8:6a says “To be controlled by human nature results in death, to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace..” And your hope is in John 3:16...“whoever believes in Jesus will not perish but will have eternal life.”   “ DIVINE GUIDANCE” John 3:16   Grandma taught me to sit up straight, To not slouch or cross my legs, She taught me to not twist my hair, Or to make up a silly face.   And to keep me in right thinking, She'd poke my hand and stare at me, To remind me that I was again being, What she taught me not to be.   The Lord is just that loving, Staring at you for your own good, And He'll keep on poking, Until you behave as you should.   Living life under divine guidance, Opens your heart to know, That through His grace and kindness, Love wi

I Corinthians 12: 12-27 “Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it.” "THE BODY" I Corinthians 12: 12-27 What is a body, Without each part? A mind to do thinking, And feeling from the heart. Lungs breathe in and out, And they function too, No matter what, The hands or feet may do. Our eyes see all around, As we use our voice to speak, And when the stomach pains, The mouth wants to eat. --------------------------------------- What is a church, But a body too, Made of many parts, One me, another you. And in this organism, Christ is the Head, And with us as His body, He'll do just what he said. It may not seem so, As evil has its gain, But we're wrapped in the love, Of a God who does not change. Hope fills tomorrow, For we've found our home, As part of God's eternal body, Where we'll be forever One. Marcia Riehle
