  Marcia's Poem of the Week “GET MOVING!” 2.24.2023  Exodus 14: 14-16 NLT/   14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Escape through the Red Sea 15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? TELL THE PEOPLE TO GET MOVING! 16 Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground. Exodus 14: 21-28 NLT / 21 Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind.  Marcia's Poem of the Week 2 17 2023  “THE LORD RESCUE YOU TODAY”   Exodus 13:7&18 / 17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” 18 So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle. Exodus 14: 5-6 / 5 When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about them and said, “What have we done? We have let the Israelites go and have lost their services!” 6 So he had his chariot made ready and took his army with him. Exodus 14:10-13 / 10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. 11 They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die?

  Marcia's Poem of the Week  2.10. 2023  “JESUS, PASSOVER LAMB”  Exodus 12:1-11 While the Israelites were still in the land of Egypt, the Lord gave the following instructions to Moses and Aaron: 2 “From now on, this month will be the first month of the year for you. 3 Announce to the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each family must choose a lamb or a young goat for a sacrifice, one animal for each household. 4 If a family is too small to eat a whole animal, let them share with another family in the neighborhood. Divide the animal according to the size of each family and how much they can eat. 5 The animal you select must be a one-year-old male, either a sheep or a goat, with no defects. 6 “Take special care of this chosen animal until the evening of the fourteenth day of this first month. Then the whole assembly of the community of Israel must slaughter their lamb or young goat at twilight. 7 They are to take some of the blood and smear it on the side

  Marci's Poe of the Week 2.03.2023 “SIGNS AND WONDERS ” Exodus 7: 1-13 The Lord holds your heart, And quickens its beat, Pay close attention. For you're needed to speak. You are the Lord's mouthpiece, And you're part of His plan, He's given you His voice, And set His staff in your hand. And to those surrounding you, You'll seem like Him. Evil may try to overrun you, But the Lord will always win. It may seem impossible, And you may fear you'll fail, But the Lord has your back, So stay fixed on His trail. He'll lead you in His fashion, As you learn to trust, And good things will happen, Under the power of God's touch Be giving and kind each day, To bring peace to every space, Help others know Christ's way, To bring love to the human race.
