  Poem of the Week by Marcia 9/24/2021   “ONE WHO SERVES” Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said to Samuel, do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things people look at; people look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” And on , Luke 22:27 “For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.”   “ ONE WHO SERVES”   Each En-Gedi God creates, Where a servant is assigned, Is to exemplify integrity, And bring unity to mankind.   To pray for those that serve, Is a joy and privilege, For the nature of a call, Is to love and encourage.   For together we are stronger, And together we are one, For God loves His people, And leads us through His Son.   Where we learn His holy word, And receive His Spirit's peace, We are sealed by His blood, Where fear and worry

  Poem of the Week by Marcia “FACING GIANTS” 9/17/2021   Reflecting on I Samuel 17:45 “You come to me with a sword and a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted.”   “FACING GIANTS” 1 Samuel 17:12-50   There are giants everywhere, They'll never go away,  But you have all you need,  To conquer them today.   Even the mightiest giant, Began once as small,  When nurtured and fed, Giants take over all.   But the battle is the Lord's, When we don't know what to do, The defeat is in God's hands, It is He that prepares you.   So you need not run, Or stand trembling in fear, As the giant draws closer,  Let it come near.   Then whatever you do, Bring it to the light of day, And call on God's power, As you kneel to pray.   Trust is key to peace,  God's word will get you there,  And any giants that you face,  Will
