Marcia's Poem of the Week  “THE CHURCH” Acts 2:42-47 NLT “The Believers Form a Community” A cts 2:42-47 42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. 43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity. 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. “THE CHURCH” Acts 2:42-47 Church is us working together, For there's so much to be done, There are many needs that matter, Shelter, food and clothes for everyone

Marcia's Poem of the Week for January 7, 2022.  My thoughts are taken from Pastor Madigan's sermon last Sunday. It was titled “HOW DOES GOD TALK TO YOU.” regarding Matthew 4:1-4, "1.Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. 2. For forty days and forty nights he fasted and became very hungry. 3. During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread. 4. But Jesus told him, No! The scriptures say, 'People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.' ” HOW DOES GOD TALK TO YOU? Matthew 4:1-4 Satisfy your hunger for God's truth, Know when tempted He'll come through,  He may seem silent in times of training, But faith is the reward for abstaining. God will talk to you every day, And give His spirit to guide your way, But at times when you do not hear, Know He is God; know He is near. For He talks to you through His W
