Marcia's Poem of the Week 8.12.2022

Thursday morning on August 11, 2022 at the park my friend and I met a homeless woman who was trying to get help from various organizations. She is devastated and having difficulty finding help. Her family is unable to help her. Please pray for her and her family. Her name is Angelique.

Marcia's Poem of the Week 8-12-2022 “And Why Worry” Matthew 6:28-33 NLT 28. “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29. yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? 31. “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

“AND WHY WORRY” Matthew 6: 19-34

Why worry in the morning,
And worry in the evening.
Why worry all the time,
About everything you're needing.

Are finances nearly gone,
Has sickness overcome,
Do you wonder where God is,
Are you feeling all alone?

Has your friends all scattered,
Has your family turned away,
Is your heart all battered,
Has your life gone astray?

Raise your eyes to heaven,
Place your hand on its gate,
Open your heart to Jesus,
For you don't have to wait.

With love you're surrounded,
Show Him the tears you cry,
He has each hair counted,
And He hears your every sigh.

He's near through every trial,
Holding you within His arms,
Supplying your needs all the while,
And keeping you safe from harm.

He's near when you seek Him,
And He'll set your spirit free,
For He gives again and again,
Until you have everything you need.

Marcia Riehle 2016

Marcia's Poem of the week for my great grandsons, Jeremiah, Tobiah and Elijah. Ephesians 1:14 “Even before He made the world God loved us [you] and made us [you] in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.”

“HE LOVED YOU"

You are a wonderment,
God made you just so,
With the heart of a servant,
That'll make your love grow.

You're to move forward,
With a Christ-like mind,
Making the way toward,
The lost left behind.

You are blessed to serve,
Your hands are made to heal,
And the message you've heard,
Will inflame your heart with zeal.

Your anointed with God's word,
And chosen to take the lead,
To awaken a sleeping World,
With God's own Gospel creed.
