Marcia's Poems of the Week 8.5.2022

 "Good Work" and "Equipped" (The photo attached is of my granddaughter Emily reading to my now 7 year old great granddaughter Arwyn).  2 Timothy 3:14-17 \  You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. And Titus 2:14, NLT: He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good work.

GOOD WORK  2 Timothy 3:14-17

Take care to value God's message,
It's more treasured than worldly wealth,
It's more prized than worldly knowledge,
And more cherished than the best of health.

God's sacred writings persuade you,

To share Good News with the World.
And equips your mind with His view, 

Of how to live life in His Word.

To accept the Holy Spirit is a must,
It'll bring His love and truth to your heart,
With teaching and reproof you can trust,
It'll implant wisdom that'll never part.

Wisdom will help you let go of the World,
And be done with its plans of darkness,
Nothing's there to gain, take God's Word,
It's useful for training in righteousness.

The Word will mature you perfectly through,
As faith in Christ Jesus saves you,
His Word keeps you strong and able to do,
Every Good Work He puts before you.

EQUIPPED  2 Timothy 3:14-17

God equips you with sound doctrine,
For which you can learn and share,
There is so much wrong thinking,
All-around you everywhere.

But God's word gives you direction,
And holds you up when you're down,
With blessings beyond imagination,
You can share with those all around.

All of God's people are precious,
And you can count on Him alone,
For He loves each dear person,
And wants to bless each one.
