Marcia's Poem of the Week 8.19.2022

Marcia's Poem of the week 8/19/2022

DO A GOOD DEED Titus 2:11-14 NLT 11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

DO A GOOD DEED

God's still small voice speaks for you,

Should yours be seized by silence,
God's word, like eyes sees for you,
Should yours be skirted by blindness.

God's word like legs will walk for you,
Whenever yours grow weak,
God's word like hands will up-lift you,
Making His power in you complete.

God's word will give you new energy,

Strengthening your growth day by day,
God's word quenches you when thirsty,
Lest you dry up and wither away.

God's word will set your mind at ease.

Should your belief wane or fray,
God's word will build-up your esteem,
Should you be beset by a willful way.

Make time to read God's Word.

It holds the purest form of peace,
His words are truths you've heard,
Devoting you to doing good deeds.

Poem of the week for my great grandson's Jeremiah, Tobiah and Elijah.

DO A GOOD DEED

You are taught to be quiet,
When you get to loud,
At times you run in the house,
When you are not allowed,

And times you don't share,
Or, you want to play alone,
But brother is sitting there,
And wants to play along,

Sharing is hard to learn,
But you are so very smart,
And giving brother a turn,
Shows love from your heart,

Love is shown through play,
And by giving to each other,
Brother learns the way,
To be kind to one another,

Thus, everywhere you turn,
God's power will sustain you,
And create a loving pattern,
From every good deed you do.
