Marci's Poe of the Week 2.03.2023

“SIGNS AND WONDERS ” Exodus 7: 1-13

The Lord holds your heart,
And quickens its beat,
Pay close attention.
For you're needed to speak.

You are the Lord's mouthpiece,
And you're part of His plan,
He's given you His voice,
And set His staff in your hand.

And to those surrounding you,
You'll seem like Him.
Evil may try to overrun you,
But the Lord will always win.

It may seem impossible,
And you may fear you'll fail,
But the Lord has your back,
So stay fixed on His trail.

He'll lead you in His fashion,
As you learn to trust,
And good things will happen,
Under the power of God's touch

Be giving and kind each day,
To bring peace to every space,
Help others know Christ's way,
To bring love to the human race.

God has an expectational test,
But He's given you expertise,
It's up to you to do your best,
And He will be pleased.

The world really needs you,
And God has given you tools,
For it is His Good News,
You're to take where evil rules.

Talents, gifts and a helping hand,
Is desperately needed today,
And as you follow God's plan,
You'll help others find His way.

  Poem of the Week by Marcia 9/24/2021   “ONE WHO SERVES” Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said to Samuel, do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things people look at; people look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” And on , Luke 22:27 “For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.”   “ ONE WHO SERVES”   Each En-Gedi God creates, Where a servant is assigned, Is to exemplify integrity, And bring unity to mankind.   To pray for those that serve, Is a joy and privilege, For the nature of a call, Is to love and encourage.   For together we are stronger, And together we are one, For God loves His people, And leads us through His Son.   Where we learn His holy word, And receive His Spirit's peace, We are sealed by His blood, Where fear and worry

  Marcia's Poem of the Week Reflecting on Genesis 45:4, 5, & 9-11 “GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU” Forgiveness is really difficult. But holding an unforgiving spirit can make one sick. This story was one of the best stories for me to understand that God shows us how forgiveness works. Joseph could have been angry with his brothers and with God. And who could blame him. How many times have you been angry with God or someone else? Joseph was able to see that God's work took time. You can be sure that when you are hurting God is working to make things right. Talk to God, be patient, wait and watch Him work. God will take care of you.  In Genesis 45 we can read how God took care of Joseph and his family. Genesis 45: 4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer.
