Marcia's Poem of the Week 1/21/2022

"GOD'S WILL IS LOVE" taken from John 7:17, "Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own." And from Matthew 22:36-40: 36, “'Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”  37 Jesus replied, ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’  38 This is the first and greatest commandment.  39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”'

"GOD'S WILL IS LOVE"

God's Love keeps you holy,
For it is He who fills your need,
And should you fear for safety,
He's the safest place to be.

Your life may not be simple,
But your Lord will provide,
For surviving is fundamental,
But you have God on our side.

In His presence you're not hopeless,
If you keep your sights on Love,
You'll receive His Spirit when helpless,
For Love is sent from God thereof.

When in trouble call His name,
And be lifted-up from strife,
And cleave to Him to maintain,
A new way of living life.

For God's Love keeps you holy,
As He supplies your every need,
Choose Him to hold you steady,
His Love's the safest place to be.

"GOD'S WILL IS LOVE" John 6:17

Choose to do the will of God,
And you'll do the will of the Son,
Choose to hear and read Jesus' Word,
And you'll know He and God are one.

For the Lord makes you righteous,
And His Holy Spirit gives a hand,
And you'll be able to open blind eyes,
Through His salvation plan.

He'll open your heart to the lonely,
The broken and the hurting,
He'll open your mind to the hungry,
For the truth, and for the telling.

So, take your love this hour,
To others through-out your day,
And know God gives His power,
To show true love His way.
