 Marcia's Poem of the Week 7 21 23 “ON THE RIGHT PATH” 

Psalm 25 4-12 4. Show me the right path, O Lord;  point out the road for me to follow. 5 Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. 6 Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,which you have shown from long ages past. 7 Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord. 8 The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. 9 He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. 10 The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness to all who keep his covenant and obey his demands. 11 For the honor of your name, O Lord, forgive my many, many sins. 12 Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose.


“ON THE RIGHT PATH”

Should you wonder where you are,
You need only look to your past,
You'll see God in times near and far,
Where His feet imprinted your path.

Whenever you wonder who to trust,
You need only look into your heart,
Where you'll see His right and His just,
And His Love you hope to impart.

Whenever you wonder what to believe,
You're to look for Him with your mind,
For it is God's word you're to retrieve,
And His teaching of truth to find.

If you wonder how to live each day,
You need only look out to the world,
For many are lost and have gone astray,
And the right path is found in His Word.

Poem of the week for my great grandsons: Jeremiah, Tobiah and Elijah.  Key Verse: Psalm 25:11, “The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness to all who keep his covenant and obey his demands.”  God's covenant was with Abraham, promising land, descendents and blessing to God's people.

"UNFAILING LOVE"

This is the world God made,
And your life is His store,
He loves all He has made,
But He loves you even more.

He wants to make you Holy,
He wants to give you peace,
He not only wants you solely,
But wants iniquity to cease.

Far greater to you is God's love,
Than anything else you can know,
And as a master of perfect love,
God can make your love grow.

Know He'll make your heart content,
As you seek to obey His demands,
And when you keep His covenant,
You'll forever remain in His plans.

  Poem of the Week by Marcia 9/24/2021   “ONE WHO SERVES” Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said to Samuel, do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things people look at; people look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” And on , Luke 22:27 “For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.”   “ ONE WHO SERVES”   Each En-Gedi God creates, Where a servant is assigned, Is to exemplify integrity, And bring unity to mankind.   To pray for those that serve, Is a joy and privilege, For the nature of a call, Is to love and encourage.   For together we are stronger, And together we are one, For God loves His people, And leads us through His Son.   Where we learn His holy word, And receive His Spirit's peace, We are sealed by His blood, Where fear and worry

Marcia's Poem of the Week 8.13.2021

  Marcia's Poem of the Week Reflecting on Genesis 45:4, 5, & 9-11 “GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU” Forgiveness is really difficult. But holding an unforgiving spirit can make one sick. This story was one of the best stories for me to understand that God shows us how forgiveness works. Joseph could have been angry with his brothers and with God. And who could blame him. How many times have you been angry with God or someone else? Joseph was able to see that God's work took time. You can be sure that when you are hurting God is working to make things right. Talk to God, be patient, wait and watch Him work. God will take care of you.  In Genesis 45 we can read how God took care of Joseph and his family. Genesis 45: 4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer.
