 Marcia's poem of the week “FRUITS OF LIFE” Galatians 5: 22-26 NLT


New Living Translation. 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another. Galatians 5: 22-26 NLT

“FRUITS OF LIFE” Galatians 5: 22-26 NLT

When have you felt dejected or hurt,
Or when has bitterness grew,
Where resentment filled your heart,
And jealousy overcame you.

It is then that you'll forget the Lord,
When you look to all the sleights,
Of how you've been overlooked,
And all others have more rights.

Know that the Lord cares for you,
And holds you in the highest esteem,
You can trust His work in you,
As He makes your heart pristine.

You need not desire more than Him,
You need not suffer such pain,
The Lord's the equalizer time and again,
And it's He who evens out the plain.

The Lord serves you heretofore,
And gives you much to share,
He wants to bless you even more,
But He wants your faith and prayer.

He will comfort you and rescue you,
He wants to enable you now,
He'll help you share His Spirit too,
And it's His Fruit that shows you how.

“FRUITS OF LIFE I” Galatians 5: 22-26 NLT

God's fruit grows from inside you,
And is given to make you whole,
There is patience, love, joy and peace,
As well as, gentleness and self-control.

There is no law against any of them,
For Christ bore your sins on the cross,
So your old self is crucified in him,
So that you are no longer lost.

Practice living within Christ's fruits,
Because they'll lead you in His way,
And help prevent living in darkness,
By giving you love and light each day.

“GOD'S FRUITS OF LIFE II” Galatians 5: 22-26 NLT

When you bite an apple from the tree,
It's flavor is sweet, fresh and juicy,

Its goodness is filling and healthy,
And every bite is yummy.

When you bite a berry from a bush,
In your mouth it will melt like mush,
And it is then you'll find the truth,
That it will delight your sweetest tooth.

When you bite a nut from a tree,
Thats where its tasty meat will be,
Your mouth will make a munchy sound,
And its nutty flavor will be profound.

When you pick Christ's Spiritual fruit,
They are holy, wholesome and resolute,
Christ enables you to grow these treats,
So you can share them with those you meet.

  Poem of the Week by Marcia 9/24/2021   “ONE WHO SERVES” Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said to Samuel, do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things people look at; people look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” And on , Luke 22:27 “For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? Marcia's Poem of the Week 8.13.2021

  Marcia's Poem of the Week Reflecting on Genesis 45:4, 5, & 9-11 “GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU” Forgiveness is really difficult. But holding an unforgiving spirit can make one sick. This story was one of the best stories for me to understand that God shows us how forgiveness works. Joseph could have been angry with his brothers and with God. And who could blame him. How many times have you been angry with God or someone else? Joseph was able to see that God's work took time. You can be sure that when you are hurting God is working to make things right. Talk to God, be patient, wait and watch Him work. God will take care of you.  In Genesis 45 we can read how God took care of Joseph and his family. Genesis 45: 4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer.
