Marcia's Poem of the Week – Exodus 20:1-21 “THE LAW OF LOVE”

Exodus 20: 18-20 // 18. When the people heard the thunder and the loud blast of the ram’s horn, and when they saw the flashes of lightning and the smoke billowing from the mountain, they stood at a distance, trembling with fear. 19. And they said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen. But don’t let God speak directly to us, or we will die!” 20. “Don’t be afraid,” Moses answered them, “for God has come in this way to test you, and so that your fear of him will keep you from sinning!”

“THE LAW OF LOVE”

Nature's message for you,
Is that the Lord is in control,
And He sends many signs to you,
Because He wants to save your soul.

He wants you to see His great power,
And that He's the one to behold,
Who you can learn to trust this hour,
And remove all the fears that hold.

Our Lord wants you to live full,
And to live free from hate and sin,
And to do that everyday,
You need only to trust in him.

Through His mighty work in hand,
You can see him care for you,
Not just now or once and again,
But in everything you do.

Yet, many are the plans of man,
And the Lord wants you to know,
The laws of the Lord will stand,
No matter where you live or go.

“THE LAW OF LOVE”

The Lord God gets your attention,
By a clap of thunder into your being,
Or smoke billowing from an inner eruption,
Or striking lightning into your seeing.

Nature does have a message for you,
That the Lord is in complete control,
That He hates sin but He loves you,
And wants you completely whole.

You're to not fear but trust His lead,
To make the most of His creation,
In you He'll grow His planted seed,
To gain your hearts full attention.

  Poem of the Week by Marcia 9/24/2021   “ONE WHO SERVES” Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said to Samuel, do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things people look at; people look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” And on , Luke 22:27 “For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.”   “ ONE WHO SERVES”   Each En-Gedi God creates, Where a servant is assigned, Is to exemplify integrity, And bring unity to mankind.   To pray for those that serve, Is a joy and privilege, For the nature of a call, Is to love and encourage.   For together we are stronger, And together we are one, For God loves His people, And leads us through His Son.   Where we learn His holy word, And receive His Spirit's peace, We are sealed by His blood, Where fear and worry

Marcia's Poem of the Week 8.13.2021

  Marcia's Poem of the Week Reflecting on Genesis 45:4, 5, & 9-11 “GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU” Forgiveness is really difficult. But holding an unforgiving spirit can make one sick. This story was one of the best stories for me to understand that God shows us how forgiveness works. Joseph could have been angry with his brothers and with God. And who could blame him. How many times have you been angry with God or someone else? Joseph was able to see that God's work took time. You can be sure that when you are hurting God is working to make things right. Talk to God, be patient, wait and watch Him work. God will take care of you.  In Genesis 45 we can read how God took care of Joseph and his family. Genesis 45: 4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer.
