 Marcia's Poem of the week 11-25-2022 “IN TIMES OF TROUBLE” 

Psalm 20:1-9 NLT Key verse: Psalm 20:1.“In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from harm.” And our list of to do's is found in Micah 6:8 where it says “To do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with our God.”



“IN TIMES OF TROUBLE” Psalm 20:1-9 NLT

When you feel ignored,
Or, when you feel every slight,
Just commune with the Lord,
With all of your might.

God has a list of to-do's,
That can make miracles happen,
And He'll see you through,
For your prayer is His passion.

You may think you can't try,
But the Lord knows better,
He will answer your cry,
And put all things together.

Your love's nothing less,
Than that which is good,
As you worship and rest,
In His Word as you should.

He is never too far away,
And He'll love you through,
With more blessings each day,
Know His miracles come true.

“YOUR HEARTS DESIRES” Psalm 20:4

All of life is do's and don'ts,
As well as acts of will's and won'ts.

Take time for fun everyday,
Take time to laugh and play.

Fill each hour with learning and love,
And know God is pleased from above.

And that it is in His good nature,
To fill your heart with His treasure.

May you grow knowing the Lord's ways,
Where joy and peace fill all your days.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And know His love will never part.

  Poem of the Week by Marcia 9/24/2021   “ONE WHO SERVES” Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said to Samuel, do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things people look at; people look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” And on , Luke 22:27 “For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table?   Marcia's Poem of the Week Reflecting on Genesis 45:4, 5, & 9-11 “GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU” Forgiveness is really difficult. But holding an unforgiving spirit can make one sick. This story was one of the best stories for me to understand that God shows us how forgiveness works. Joseph could have been angry with his brothers and with God. And who could blame him. How many times have you been angry with God or someone else? Joseph was able to see that God's work took time. You can be sure that when you are hurting God is working to make things right. Talk to God, be patient, wait and watch Him work. God will take care of you.  In Genesis 45 we can read how God took care of Joseph and his family. Genesis 45: 4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer.
