Marcia's Poem of the Week 9.02.2022

Poem of the Week by Marcia -SURRENDERING

Daniel 3:8-27 tells us that God doesn't say hard times will not happen if we believe, but He promises to be there with us, walking through the fire with us, wrapping us in His sweet embrace.

Daniel 3:25; says, “Four men were walking in the furnace and the fourth person was a son of the gods.” Daniel 3:27; says that “everyone saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair on their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.”

SURRENDERING - Daniel 3: 8-27

Walk us through fires heated,
Bring comfort to body and bone,
Let us feel Your love completed,
For You are our final home.
So when the temperature rises,
May the heat just spur us on,
Beyond the questions and surprises,
May Your love hold us strong.
Let us know today is just a part,
For tomorrow has so much more,
Yet going on with you in our heart,
We will excel as we endure.
Bring it on and let us feel it,
Help us know your saving Grace,
Walk with us through fires heated.
Wrapped in Your sweet embrace. Amen.

Poem of the week for Jeremiah, Tobiah and Elijah: 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 NLT 12. If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

SURRENDERING   1 Corinthians 10:12-13

Be careful not to fall,
Temptations are appealing,
They are common to us all,
And feed upon our feelings.

However, God is ever faithful,
Allowing nothing we can't bear,
Strength is found in being grateful,
And learning how to share.

The Lord is your anchor,
Providing a way out,
He tempers your anger,
And eases your doubt.

Tap into His Mercy,
Follow His steps each day,
For kind is His journey,
And gentle is His way.
