Marcia's Poem of the Week 6.17.2022

Marcia's Poem of the Week " WHERE DOES MY HELP COME FROM?"

 Psalms 121:1-4 NIV  6/17/2022

In the past, on Sunday June 13 2010 12 PM, the Ohio State Stadium had 8,652 graduates. We drove to Columbus, Ohio to see my granddaughter graduate. She was one among 6,086 Bachelor Degree graduates. She was wearing a straw hat during Commencement, as you can see in this photo. (middle of the top row). And we were glad because we would have never been able to see her. But that is not true of God. He always knows where you are.

Psalms 121:1-4 NIV “I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

WHERE DOES MY HELP COME FROM? Psalms 121:1-4 NIV

You try hard to climb many mountains,
And you swim equally-hard through life's sea,
Nature around you would have you done-for,
If it wasn't for the Lord who sets you free.

Though you cannot find God on your own,
Though you cannot see him with your naked eye,
You know He loves and controls you as His own,
And masters your mountain and your sky.

You can count on Him for all you need,
He'll be with you wherever you go,
If your eyes need to be opened to see,
It is the Lord who will make it so.

You can know your foot will not slip,
For He does not slumber nor sleep,
He'll hold you steady within His grip,
Trust that it's you He'll safely keep.

Move forward without eyes to see.
Remember the Lord has total control,
He'll guide you over mountain and sea,
When you trust His working in your soul.

Poem of the week for my great grandsons, Jeremiah, Tobiah and Elijah

“My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!” Psalm 121: 1

HIS LOVE HELPS YOU Psalm 121: 1

God made you able to know,

He made your ears to hear,

He made your feet go,
And remains forever near.

The Lord is your maker,
He knows you completely through,
And grants love and favor,
And shows you what to do.

He lends His helping hand,
And is your mouth-piece too,

Miracles will come from Him,

As His Spirit guides you through.
