Marcia's Poem of the Week 4.15.2022

 Marcia's Poem of the Week

(Luke 19:36-40 NLT)  36.As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. 37.When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen. 38.“Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord!  Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!” 39.But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!” 40. He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”

And in (Ephesians 2:17-22) The body of Christ is described like the walls of a temple, 'built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone' (verse 20). We are all part of the wall that 'grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord' (verse 21).

“BURST INTO CHEERS”

Christ is the cornerstone,

Of the Christian church today,

And His people are building blocks,

That can show others the way.

The Lord is counting on each of us,

To "burst into cheers" in the world,

So all the people that God loves,

Can know His life giving Word.

Enjoy the life that you've been given,

And know it is for many others,

Rejoice in God's Son as the cornerstone,

"Burst into cheers" with sisters and brothers.

Poem for my great grandsons: Jeremiah, Tobiah and Elijah

Psalm 62:8 “O' people pour out your heart before Him”

TIME-OUT

You're growing fast and you are good,

Yet sometimes you don't act as you should,

So going to time-out in a quiet place,

Helps calm your heart and gives you grace.

Undisturbed you can think extra hard,

About how you've acted at home or yard,

And the Lord sees when you're hurt or afraid,

And knows the mistakes that you've made.

But remember He doesn't ever give up,

For His love for you will never stop,

So whatever you've done never fear,

Ask for forgiveness, He's always near.

So at your time-out with the Lord,

Talk to Him and ponder His word,

You know now He is everywhere,

Go to time-out and meet Him there.
