Marcia's Poem of the Week 3.11.2022

Poem of the week by Marcia 3 11 2022 “ GIVE THANKS” John 4:1-11 The Wedding at Cana, Galilee

"The next day there was a wedding celebration in the village of Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the celebration. 3 The wine supply ran out during the festivities, so Jesus’ mother told him, “They have no more wine.” 4 “Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.” 5 But his mother told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Standing nearby were six stone water jars, used for Jewish ceremonial washing. Each could hold twenty to thirty gallons.* 7 Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” When the jars had been filled, 8 he said, “Now dip some out, and take it to the master of ceremonies.” So the servants followed his instructions. 9 When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that was now wine, not knowing where it had come from (though, of course, the servants knew), he called the bridegroom over. 10 “A host always serves the best wine first,” he said." John 4: 1-11

Key Verse: John 4:11 This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

“ GIVE THANKS”

 Give thanks for His miracles,

And for His love and forgiveness,

And give thanks for His gift to us,

By His Spirit's indwelling witness.

And give thanks for living water,

That quenches our endless thirst,

And give thanks for healing power,

That removes our sin and hurts.

Give thanks for His for guiding,

Through our challenges and fears,

And give thanks for His bottling,

Up of our sorrows and tears.

Give thanks for the time He takes,

To listen to all of our prayers,

And give thanks for His answers,

That shows how much He cares.

Give thanks for His miracles,

That He brings into our hearts,

And give thanks for His blessings,

That's given our lives a new start.

Know that turning water into wine,

On that miraculous wedding day,

Brought miracles by God's design.

Into each of our lives today.

“ GIVE THANKS”

Poem for my great grandson's: Jeremiah, Tobiah and Elijah

 A MIRACLE FROM HEAVEN

You were born pure and tiny,

A miracle from heaven,

And you grew up quite timely,

Sweet, gentle and amazing.

You are a promising creation,

Made in the Savior's likeness,

A miraculous conception,

Permeated with rightness.

Miracles come in many ways,

As God keeps your life at peace,

And He sees all of your days,

And He knows all your needs.

Miracles happen through you,

As He shows His love and care,

He rewards your meekness too,

That's His promise when you share.

And as you grow in His Word,

You'll grow with love for Him,

God's with you as you've heard,

He's your trusting, faithful friend.
