Marcia's Poem of the Week 2.18.2022

Poem of the week by Marcia 2/18/2022 “GIFTS”

Peter 4: 10 NLT God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

My aunt Norma always said she did not have a gift. But my aunt had so much love for others. She was gentle, sweet and always had a kind word for everyone. Like Aunt Norma, we may not see our giftedness, but God gave each one of us a spiritual gift.  Ask someone close to you about your spiritual gift. And if it seems impossible, ask God to help you see and believe in your spiritual gift.

 “GIFTS”

You have a spiritual gift,
You may have more than one,
Be encouraged to persist,
On behalf of God's own Son.

Be done with evil things,
As God demands us to,
And do what love brings,
Serving those around you.

Look for ways to give,
It's part of God's good news,
Helping others learn to live,
Will bring peace to you.

Give your gift to the world,
Do what you love to do,
Stay in God's true word,
Share from the heart of you.

For we are gifted to love,
And share love each day,
Gifts come from above,
To help us seek God's way.

Poem for my great grandsons: Jeremiah, Tobiah and Elijah.

“GIFTS”

You are smart and young,
The Lord has gifted you,
To know Him as the One,
Here to guide you through.

Take time to understand,
The Lord's given part,
Salvation is His plan,
To change the human heart.

The Lord made you kind,
And loving and forgiving too,
Sharing your talent and time,
Is also His goal for you.

Gifts will forever shine,
As His Spirit lets you know,
That His gifts are divine,
Helping you help others grow.
