Poem of the Week by Marcia “HOPE IS THE ANCHOR OF YOUR SOUL”

 Hebrews 6:19

THE ANCHOR OF YOUR SOUL Hebrews 6:19

Hope gives you a purpose,

Especially depending on prayer,

And if blinded by life's darkness,

God's promise for you is clear.

 

Hope's purpose is the best kind,

That can spread like seed,

And can be seen in time,

By awaiting its bloom to be.

 

For hope is strong in your bone,

And affixed there by God above,

And offers the sweetest home,

In God's own land of love.

 

Earth's darkness will shatter,

Under hopes sunshiny view,

And bring light that will matter,

Making joy again brand new.

 

Hope yields to compliance,

As God's promise foretold,

And hope models obedience,

Becoming the anchor of your soul.
