Marcia's Poem of the Week  10.08.2021 

 "Believe"   


My thoughts regarding John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. And regarding, 1 John 4:10, "And love consists in this:  not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins."


 Life brings losses, disappointments and even things that scare us, torment us and worry us beyond our ability to understand or handle. But nothing can happen that the Lord can't handle and resolve. Believe and trust because the Lord loves you.

 

“BELIEVE” 

 

The world may take it all away,

But the Lord will add and display,

The walk of life does bring pain,

But the Lord brings songs for us to sing,

Our minds may fill with human care,

But the Lord comes with love to share,

Our heart may hurt with stabbing stings,

But the Lord will cover it with His wings,

Our eyes may fill with flooding tears,

But the Lord's been bottling them-up for years,

Our foes may attack at every bend,

But know the Lord has angels to send,

No loss, no pain, or sting will remain,

For the Lord is King over everything,

He'll watch over all and keep you safe,

You've only to hear, see and believe with faith.

  Poem of the Week by Marcia 9/24/2021   “ONE WHO SERVES” Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said to Samuel, do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things people look at; people look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” And on , Luke 22:27 “For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? Marcia's Poem of the Week 8.13.2021

  Marcia's Poem of the Week Reflecting on Genesis 45:4, 5, & 9-11 “GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU” Forgiveness is really difficult. But holding an unforgiving spirit can make one sick. This story was one of the best stories for me to understand that God shows us how forgiveness works. Joseph could have been angry with his brothers and with God. And who could blame him. How many times have you been angry with God or someone else? Joseph was able to see that God's work took time. You can be sure that when you are hurting God is working to make things right. Talk to God, be patient, wait and watch Him work. God will take care of you.  In Genesis 45 we can read how God took care of Joseph and his family. Genesis 45: 4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer.
