Hebrews 13:20-21 6-25-21 “Making God Happy”

Hebrews 13: 20-21. “Now may the God of Peace who brought again from the dead our lord Jesus the great Shepherd of the sheep by the blood of the eternal covenant equip you with everything good that you may do his will working in us that which is pleasing in his sight through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen”


“MAKING GOD HAPPY” 

 

I hope to Make God Happy,

With a faith strong and tough,

I hope He is pleased as can be,

And I hope I'm good enough.

 

For I want to be spirit minded,

With the intake of His love,

And I want to know His purpose,

And conform to Him thereof,

 

So-be-it if I look a fool,

Or guilty in others eyes,

I hope to walk in His rule,

And please Him who is wise.

 

Salvation is yours and mine,

He equips with all that's good,

And we will see in time,

He'll finish what He said He would.

 

I hope to Make God Happy,

By dancing as I sing,

Like David did in his worship,

To bring praises to His King

 

I hope to please Him where I go,

By seeking to search His will,

And letting my message show,

That He keeps my spirit still.

 

The Lord's peace will start,

Making God Happy in all you do,

While His grace fills your heart,

Equipping the good in you.

  Poem of the Week by Marcia 9/24/2021   “ONE WHO SERVES” Reflection on 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said to Samuel, do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things people look at; people look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” And on , Luke 22:27 “For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.”   “ ONE WHO SERVES”   Each En-Gedi God creates, Where a servant is assigned, Is to exemplify integrity, And bring unity to mankind.   To pray for those that serve, Is a joy and privilege, For the nature of a call, Is to love and encourage.   For together we are stronger, And together we are one, For God loves His people, And leads us through His Son.   Where we learn His holy word, And receive His Spirit's peace, We are sealed by His blood, Where fear and worry

Marcia's Poem of the Week 8.13.2021

  Marcia's Poem of the Week Reflecting on Genesis 45:4, 5, & 9-11 “GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU” Forgiveness is really difficult. But holding an unforgiving spirit can make one sick. This story was one of the best stories for me to understand that God shows us how forgiveness works. Joseph could have been angry with his brothers and with God. And who could blame him. How many times have you been angry with God or someone else? Joseph was able to see that God's work took time. You can be sure that when you are hurting God is working to make things right. Talk to God, be patient, wait and watch Him work. God will take care of you.  In Genesis 45 we can read how God took care of Joseph and his family. Genesis 45: 4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer.
